Webinar series launched to help advisors and directors understand insolvency processes
The training is aimed at professional services advisors who are relatively new to dealing with distressed clients and/or want to gain a basic understanding of insolvency processes.
The first webinar took place on 12 January and shared the warning signs to look out for, where to look for them. The next two will cover the insolvency process and directors’ duties and how to help clients avoid personal risk.
Oliver Collinge, Director at PKF GM said:
“For many advisors, this is the first recession they’ve worked through. We’ve designed this training to help them to identify warning signs, understand when to call the experts in and support their clients through what is undoubtedly going to be a tough 2023.
SME’s are facing a massive cash crunch and we’re seeing a surge in insolvencies as a result. We’re advising directors and their advisors to act now as the worsening macro-economic climate is likely to result in severe cash flow pressure. It is critical businesses act early and seek advice if they are struggling now or think cash flow may be squeezed in the coming months. The earlier they act, the more options they’ll have to secure the business’s long-term survival.”
